The last few months have been busy and some of our favorite projects have included assignments with Universal Studios. Karen shot and produced the DVD documentary extra content for two months in the jungles of Thailand on “Scorpion King III”. She did the same in the subzero temperatures of the Canadian winter for “Beethoven’s Christmas Adventure”. Both were spectacular experiences with great casts, crews producers and directors.

FX is creating another series with Ryan Murphy the creator of “Nip Tuck” and “Glee”. This new series “American Horror Story” is shooting the pilot of this psycho-sexual thriller in Los Angeles. Karen and her team were hired by Storm Studios to shoot the behind-the-scenes horror filled extras for online and DVD segments.
Karen Somers & Company created online interview extras with new pop-goth princess Esza Kaye celebrating her new album release “Tinged With Machine”. In the interview, Esza Kay talks candidly about her inspirations, challenges and victories while creating her album. Selected songs have been recently licensed and will be featured in several TV shows this fall. Karen Somers & Company created four videos in total for Esza Kaye which can be previewed in the blog.
Corporate client and law firm Manfredi, Levine, Eccles, Miller and Lawson have released the second series of “Legal Moments” created by Karen Somers and Company. These informational segments feature the lawyers of the firm sharing the wealth of their legal expertise on everything from personal injury and bankruptcy to view protection and evictions. These videos have been very successful online and we are preparing to shoot more in the coming months.
Karen Somers & Company worked to create a beautiful celebration on a budget for television producer Wakako Miyakuni and her rocket engineer fiancée, Andrew Rollinger. Their Topanga Canyon mountain top wedding featured a modern take on an Asian esthetic. Espresso and cream linens provided the perfect base for floral décor that popped with pink and lime accents throughout the space. The bride and groom’s sophisticated family-style celebration set the perfect tone for an intimate and inspiring affair of the heart.
